Daria Kim presents Hive Settlers, an installation on the history of the Koryo-saram — ethnic Koreans deported from the Russian Far East to Central Asia in 1937. For this talk, Daria is joined by her father, Anatoly Kim — an enterpreneur and collector, owner of the largest collection of works by Korean artists of Uzbekistan, comprising around 1,500 pieces.
Together, they will discuss how personal memory, family dialogue, and cultural heritage intersect in telling stories of survival, adaptation, and the making of new identities across generations.
