07.11.2025 15:00 — 17:00
The hushtak is a traditional Bukharian clay whistle, often shaped like birds or fantastical creatures, made for children during Navruz to blow away winter and ward off evil. In this workshop, master ceramicist Abdulvahid Karimov and his wife Dilnoza Karimova will guide participants in the art of painting hushtaks. Participants will learn how colour and ornament bring these mythical objects to life.
You will be able to collect your hushtak the same day or the next day after 19:00 depending on the painting technique that you are going to use.
