Postcards Collage Making Workshop — Jenia Kim
Pop-up Library (Pochchoqul mosque)
All Sessions
16.11.2025 13:00 — 14:00
Developed by creative director Jenia Kim (J.Kim), this workshop invites participants to explore the intersection of craft, design, and cultural heritage. The concept draws on the traditional stencil-cutting technique used in Bukhara’s gold embroidery, reimagined here as a collective creative process. Using bird-shaped scissors, created by craftsmen Zokhir and Said Kamolov, whose design inspired Jenia's stork sculptures which can be seen on site as part of the installation, participants will cut ornamental stencils and combine them with vintage Soviet textiles, often featured in J.Kim’s collections for their warmth. Each visitor will assemble their own collage and transform it into an original handmade postcard.
All participants are welcome to take their postcards home as a keepsake of the experience.
